Gary,
I'm having a little problem (actually, been up half the night with it). It has
to do with opacity maps and self-illumination. when I use self-ill with
opacity maps the white areas of the maps "flip" and become transparent instead
of opaque. Is this something you are aware of – would you like me to send a
sample.
By the way. New IPAS samples look Fabulous!

I just made a Gsphere here, applied spherical mapping coords to it, and then
assigned Checker Opacity to it, with 4 repeats in U and V.
I then went into Medit and brought the SI slider up to 100 and everything was
fine (the opaque parts became self-illuminated) and then I made the opacity map
the SI map, and everything was still fine.
If you've got a case in which it works differently, simplify it, write up an
accompanying text file explaining what to look for, and send it via binary
email to Jonas Ruikis. He'll forward it over to the QA dept. for further
evaluation.
Take care,
– G
