And, whining and complaining accounts for a lot of the bad things that happend
to the Amiga market.
It may be natural for us to want more than we have (AAA, AmigaDOS 4, RTG, VM,
etc., etc.). However, all of us should be thankful to those who have improved
and developed for the Amiga over the years (including you for AutoPilot)
despite the fact that many Amiga users never seem to be happy with anything.
One thing is certain right now. Commodore is gone. However, we can
acknowledge that we've had the opportunity to be part of a very unique
community. Much of what is attractive about the Amiga is the quality people
you find working with it. I think we should get past all this pointless
bickering and start discussing real issues and solutions for the Amiga market.
(Gee, I sound like a politician.) The future is never set it stone. It's what
we make it.
Wayne,
Commodore is gone, that's for sure … they couldn't continue with their debt
load. But, there are too many positive indications to not believe that the
Amiga, as a personal computer, not just some set top box, will continue. But,
we'll know for sure shortly.
I agree. My comments were meant to re-enforce that notion.
Wayne,
I agree with your comments. The 3rd party folks have done wonders. It is
time for the next generation Amiga. The grass roots fire still burns in
the enthusiasm of this community.
