need an '030/16 and up 68881 ideal, but not needed. NEEDS to have 32-bit ram
support. also looking at the CBM A2630
reply with prices(reasonable)
Tony
Tony,
I have a GVP 3001 28 Mhz w/68882 and 4 meg of 32 bit ram expandable
to 8 meg. Would like to get $750.00. It also has an IDE hard drive
interface on it, BTW. AIBB benchmarks it at least 10% and in some tests as
much as 50% faster than a 25 Mhz A3000. Leave me EMAIL if interested.
hmmm….kinda' rich for my blood…looking for a used one around the $300
range! Thanks, though! 'ppreciate the response! BTW, I'll keep the Quantum
a while and see what happens…as i said before, most of my Q experience has
been with their IDE's and PeeCee's
Tony
Tony,
I wish you luck finding a card for $300. Just the 4 meg of 32 bit
ram costs nearly that much, let alone the accelerator and memory card
together. If you're willing to settle for an old 68020 accelerator which
runs at 14 Mhz with a 20 Mhz 68881 and 4 meg of memory I have an old
Hurricane card which I would sell for $300.
Yeh, stick with that Q for awhile. I have three of them currently and have
owned and sold two others. I have been real pleased with their
performance. Right now I have a 240 meg and 105 meg in the A2000 and an 85
meg in the A3000 along with a Maxtor 7120.
well….I got a line on a G-Force 030 for $300
thanks, Tony
Tony,
That's a real good price. Be sure it has 4 meg and not a 68EC030.
Some of the G-Forces (the less expensive ones) only had 1 meg and used the
less expensive EC chip which doesn't have an MMU and also exhibited some
incompatibilities with AMax (and maybe some other hardware).
