#Amiga Slot Spacing
14 messages in this thread
Does anybody know if the slot spacing on the A2000 is the same as that on a PC
motherboard….I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to mount a A2000
motherboard in a PC tower case….any suggestions?
The slot spacings are the same – 3/4". The 2000 does have narrower slot
openings to the outside world, though. Since you're going to a wider opening,
you shouldn't have any problems.
As an aside, this is exactly what Ambitious Technologies has done in order to
provide a roll-your-own 4000 tower to the Amiga community.

Are you with Ambitious…..did they ever bring the 4000 tower case to market?
What about a case for the A3000, do you know if that is avail?
No, actually I'm with PreVue Technologies. As a filler of slots, I like to
keep up with ways to get more slots. They can be reached at: 310 532 0787
(voice) or 310 532 0785 (fax) in the Los Angeles area.
From what I hear from our mutual dealers, it's a good product that does the job
well. I don't know about an A3000 case; I would guess that the same product
would do the job.

Are you the guys that every once in awhile make the PreVue channel on my
cable system die just so you expose the Amiga cursor and promote Amiga
sales?
PreVue isn't Amiga-driven, is it? I thought it was a PC. Some cable systems
use Amigas for other things…
FOr years, evertime my PreVue channel went down (usually late every
saturday night, I'd be staring at the 1.3 workbench screen on channel 39.
On some nights, it was even the best thing on the tube. <g>
The PreView Channel is displayed via Amiga 2000s.

I've got a "PreVue Channel", scrolling info on the bottom, genlock'd movies and
commercials up above. Is this what you see?
Yes, that is it.

No, we're not that PreVue. And we certainly wouldn't have our systems dying so
visibly.
Bruce,
Well than take the lead I threw you and tell us what PreVue is!
Ahem, tap – tap – tap . . . is this thing on?
PreVue Technologies makes a number of Video Toaster add-on products:
BreadBoard: three delay lines plus two more distribution amps. Good
for timing video sources in systems where there is also a
downstream switcher. It also pulls off the key signals for performing
the key in the downstream switcher
Toast Timer: a slaved black burst generator. Used to give the Toaster
H and subcarrier adjustments
DejaVue: a register memory control panel. Stores and recalls complex
Video Toaster switcher effects.
InterVue: a T-bar control panel. Gives real-time control over the Toaster.
Sync Strainer: Lets you use a multi-sync monitor with the Toaster.
(Monitor must be able to sync at 15kHz.)
And there's more in the works.
