#Bad disks
10 messages in this thread
Well, I didn't need integer version of Amagine3.0 so I installed FP ver. I
think you should check the disks you're sending out. I *think* I have
everything installed correctly, but who knows? The Log file is incomplete,
there is no Imagine3 .info file. Not to worry, I made a really ugly icon
with script for it, but what about a computer innocent?

Gracia.,
We use an automated disk duplicator, and we duplicate over 30K disks at
a time, the duplicator seems to capture most problems, unfortunately no machine
is perfect, so send back your disk and we will gladly replace it. However it
seems that you do not need it anyway, so why bother, save the postage.

Mike,
I think everything is there and in the right place, but if I do have a
problem I'll sure let you know.

Mike,
here are two suggestions for the next version of Imagine; I know, timing is
strange since you just came out with a major upgrade, but sometimes an idea
stays in the back of your mind and pops up when you start comparing the current
and new Imagines, and discover your pet peeve hasn't been fixed.
In the Stage editor's Play wireframe anim requester, the speed slider is not
labelled. It would be great to have a text field showing how many frames/second
you're displaying. And please make the text update while I'm dragging the
slider, not just when I release it.
Seems like your PostScript font support needs some upgrading. I have a couple
dozen expensive, commercial, Bitstream PS fonts which Imagine doesn't
recognize. (Post, that PD ditty, reads them just fine, by the way) Of the 10
currently found in my psfonts: directory, only 4 appear on Imagine's font
requester. Pretty half-baked, especially considering that a PD program will
read all 10.

I doubt they are half baked, but we are working on Imagine every day,
your suggestions are taken and we will do our best

hi Mike,
i seem to be having a problem with some old projects created under 2.0
that will not let me use the stage editor, i get a task held thingie w/
the reboot/suspend buttons, everytime i try to go into the stage. is this
a know problem? or did i miss something

Mike,
would it help if I sent you one or two fonts which don't work in Imagine? It
may help you strengthen up your Postscript support. Of course, due to licensing
agreements, you'd have to delete them from your system once testing is
complete, but I can certainly trust you to do this.

Sure send them, however I have a few that dont work as well, we are
working on the problem and will most likely have it handled in the next rev,
but by all means the more info the better.

I loades the Imagine.pic file into ADPro reduced it as far as ADPro would
let me, loaded it in again and reduced it again. Then I loaded it into the
ICON editor and saved it as Imaginefp.info, it looks fine. If Impulse
doesn't mind, I'll upload it.

Ah ha! so you didn't get an .info file either! Out of spite, I made a
really ugly icon <G>, or maybe it out of serious lack of talent <VBG>.
