Anyone know about the 3DTurbo IPAS routine from Schrieber? I would love to hear any feedback. Doug (Lab Tech)

Doug(tolek), << Anyone know about the 3DTurbo IPAS routine from Schrieber? I would love to hear any feedback. >> Doug Holt wrote that package with his partner. I had the pleasure of beta testing it briefly. It is similar to the Yost Group "Optimize" but has one significant difference (IMO) besides the UI, it can reduce or add vertices by a specific value. This is real important for all of you morphers of dissimilar vertice count objects. At the time I tested it, it didn't have a tool to re-sort or view the vertice list or the face list. Contact Doug at 76640,2515 for more. Maybe he'll jump in.. jonas[adesk]

Thanks for the word. We really would like to try it out, but the price is so high. Being an educational institution, we can almost buy a full 3DS for the price of the one routine. WE have just ordered the Yost disks 6 and 7, so hopefully the optimize routine will do some similar things. Thanks again for the description. Doug (lab op, Georgia Tech)

As an educational institute you are entitled to a discount per Schreiber. There are so many differences between 3DTurbo and the Yost IPAS that you really need to check out the demo!!! Please call Schreiber at 1-800-252-1024. They will help you out pronto! Thanks, doug
