#IPAS water loop

Could Materials Morphing help here, by morphing between two materials each
with WATER.SXP set up?
It's certainly worth an experiment.

I think you guys are talking about my question that I asked about 2 weeks ago
about making the water.sxp loop. If you are I was able to make the water loop,
if not please ignore this message. Anyway, I was able to make the water loop
with-in 50 frame. Unfortunatly I dont have the parameters that I used with my
right now but next time I am on compu-serve I will post them for the rest of
you to use.
Thanks for all the help

Hey Guys,
I got a job using the Water.SXP and I'm aving a difficult time getting it to
animate on a large body of water. On smaller bodies of water the waves only
eminate from a single point, i.e. like a rock was dropped in the water! I've
tried a lot of parameter changes on the large body of water with the SXP and it
still doesn't look like the .fli demo file. Help, I'm pulling my hair out and I
don't have much left! Also, I'm using Release 3 with release 2 IPAS, will that
make a big difference? Any help would be greatly apprieciated(?)!!
Thanks,

The best thing to do is to use the sample files that ship with Disk#2 and
modify those accordingly. Note that since the wave function is based on a
fractal noise algorithm, you might be better off getting a
rock-dropped-in-water effect if you use a pxp like waves (or the new multi-wave
pxp that the Schreiber Instruments folks are selling).

These things are often a function of scale, Jack.
I you would like, I'll Email you my phone number, and maybe we could get a good
water effect going over the phone…
Lemme know,

Gregg: I'd like to talk with you about Windows Sources magazine. Can you give
me a call on Monday at 212 503 5461? We're doing a lot of animation, video and
multimedia in the labs.
