Well, I was hoping to beat the 5/13/94 deadline within the 2.0d evaluation release of Terminus, but alas, not even close… 😉 Anyways, the expiration thingy in the evaluation version was put there was so that stale copies of Terminus wouldn't be propagating in cyberspace long after they should be. As it turns out, it's pretty good that it's there due to my change in employment that completely disrupted life for the past two months (but, that's a different story, anyone who's been through a change that required a >150mi relocation can visualize how much fun that can be…). Ok, let's see; as for electronic means of contacting me, outside of BIX, GEnie and CIS, everything's changed. The BBS# is now 914-934-5922. The Fidonet address for it is now 1:2625/133 and finally, I can receive Internet email at jprad@panix.com. I also have a static IP address via that service, but I don't have a PPP connection established yet. As for Terminus… Well, that's not so simple. Like I said, I had hoped to sneak in under the 5/13/94 deadline, but the job change threw everything off. To make matters worse, the RIP stuff isn't close yet. So, I'm in the process of backing things out so that I can at least get a 2.0e out the door with bug fixes for now. Hopefully, I can put it all together by next weekend… -jack-

Jack, I'm a user of Term v3.4 and am quite happy with it, but the only drawback to that is it doesnot support RIP (I do have a RIP term program, but it is in alpha test and not very featured).. I hear (and read from your post) that you plan to support RIP in Terminus, and from other users that Terminus is much better than Term. I am then thinking about switching over now but have one thing holding me back. The one question/suggestion that I have is with regards to registration.. It has been suggested that you make registration of Terminus available through SWReg here on CIS. If this feature was done I would DL Terminus in a second and SWReg it in the same session (ala Autopilot). Please consider this as an option.. <g> Trent One of the "Frozen Chosen"

Here Here for the SWREG. It's so much easier than anyother registration method available. Registering software usually means a trip to the bank to get a money order, a trip to the post office to get stamps and away the registration goes *hopefully*. SWREG is sooo much easier. I'm looking forward to registering Terminus the painless way. Steve
