I've got a couple of questions here.
I'm designing a resume for a friend at work using FinalCopy II. (No bucks
for Pagestream just yet.) Since my printer (HPLJ II) only has 512k I have
to print in two passes. (Pass one does the lines and header, pass two
does the body of the resume) It works really well, with a problem. I
added 4 lines of text, and deleted 6, yet it won't print the body in one
pass anymore. It almost makes it, then kicks the page out. (I am
positive that I deleted more text than I added.) Any suggestions on what
might be going wrong?
Secondly, If I trap a full printout of the resume with the CMD command,
transfer the file to a MS Disk, can I print it through a PC using COPY
FILENAME.DOC LPT1? I guess what I am really asking, does CMD trap before
the preferences convertion or after?

CMD will create a file that will work fine dumped to a printer on a PC.

How about getting some more RAM (1 or 2 MBs) for your printer? Or getting
an in-line printer buffer (1 MB). I've got one of those for my HP 500C
and I think it is one of the best things I ever did. Sorry my advice
wasn't technical but I think I would hate it if I had a laser printer and
had to print in 2 passes but that is just me. Hope things work out for
you.

Yea, more RAM would be nice… but until we start charitable contributions
to the "Save Chris' Wallet" foundation, we won't be seeing printer RAM
anytime soon! <g> I don't do enough with FCII to ever really need extra
RAM, except for rare occassions… (this being one of them :^)
The CMD dump to PC0: and copying the file to LPT1 on a PC works GREAT!
However, the LJ2 at work suffers from the same "short term memory loss" as
my home printer! <g>
