Christian: "Amiga Money" sounds intriguing, and is good news for those of
us who use the Amiga professionally. I started out on "Managing Your
Money" for MS-DOS many years ago and have just stuck with it. But if an
Amiga program came along that could give it a run for the money (so to
speak!) I'd consider it.
Howdy,
For those who might be interested, I've written an accounting program for
the Amiga in Arexx. The RexxArpLib library serves as the graphic
interface. WShell & CygnusED are also intergrated.
This creation is a result of having used BEST for a year, back in 1988 🙂
Here's a quick rundown…
Double entry
Acrual
Track upto 9 Bank accounts per company
Unlimited companies
All data files in ascii
Easy to use, errors easy to fix
Accounts Payable/Receivable
Bank Reconcilation
Project Cost Tracking
Asset Tracking
Loan Tracking
Insurance List feed
Inventory Control
Data Search function
One button control for Monthend Data Reports which will produce…
– Balance Sheet
– Profit & Loss Statement
– AP
– AR
– Reconcilation(s)
– Audit Trail
– Job Journals
– Sales Tax Report
– Formula/Ratios Report
– Small Summary Report
Single Reports at any time for AP, AR, Recon & Taxes
Data viewed in Editor, printed at your convenience
Graphs (Line or 3D Bar)
On-line help for every button/gadget, plus general information
Full screen Month Calendar program interfaced to a CygnusED data file
Sales Tax Calculator program
This collection of programs has a total arexx code size of approx 522K.
Currently I have 6 years of my books done thru "MoneyRX". Also, as
treasurer of a local chapter association, I have 3 years of their books
done. And an associate has 3 years of her books done thru my program.
MoneyRX is working well. There are still a few areas "Under Construction".
At some point I will expand the beta testing. Anyone interested?
There is no Payroll function as yet since I don't have any employees 🙂
I tackled this huge project to solve a personal frustration. If there is
interest in MoneyRX, then I would consider doing sales on a mail-order
basis.
With 3000+ hours working with Arexx, one gets the feeling that just about
any sort of data can be worked on…
Ken,
I'm working at a bank as a programmer (on slimy PeeCees…) in a
similar field and would very much like to do some beta testing on your
MoneyRX programs! What conditions do I have to meet to be accepted?

Chris,
I've yet to draft any sort of beta testing conditions. I will put you
on my notice list, & contact you when the time is right.
Thanks, Ken!

You could count me in (twice) for beta testing and as a potential
customer. What must I do to qualify/convince you?

Hi Daniel,
Thanks for your interest in MoneyRX. I put your name down on my list.
