#IMrt quest away
8 messages in this thread
Ben..
been using IMrt and it is pretty fun… But am having some problems I am
morphing two from one image to another and am trying to generate ultimatly an
anim-5 DCTV 4-bit plane animation.. First CAn I do it directly or do I have to
just generate the individuals pics first and use a different program to make
the anim-5? Second Sometimes the DCTV rendering bar stays on the screen but the
program continues to run..kinda.. also when the help screen couldn't open
(because not enough chip ram.. I guess) the program hangs Is there a way around
this? fourthly How do I get back to the workbeench screen as cntl c= n doesn't
do it… I know its there cause the disk full message bumped me there… but
that method is not recommended..
Thanks in advance…

Tom,
IM R/t can do this directly. Set the output save type to DCTV, size as
appropriate, etc. Set the output in the morph panel to use the ANIMWR
scripts. Answer OP5 when it asks you what type of anim.
Note that if your disk fills up, or you run out of memory, IM R/t won't be
able to complete the task properly.
Left Amiga M goes from screen to screen… keep pressing it and you'll
(eventually) get to the WB.

I found the anim screen before you sent me this message.. (I then lost it, so
thanks for the clue to where it is again!) No "ctrl" on screen to screen? Aha!
thanks.. another prob, IYDM, when I set the DCTV image size to reduce it from
the 736 X 482 to 640 x 400 in the file I/O buffers, when it renders the picture
it tells me the size is too big for dctv… (I'm new at this hope these pesky
questions don't bother you too much)
-Tom-
"Pesky questions" don't bother me a bit. If I can't answer them, I'll tell
you. Otherwise, I'll answer them. :^) Here (I think) is the answer to
yours:
If you set the output render to 400 lines, make sure you _also_ set the
display mode to interlace. IM R/t "knows" that DCTV can't handle 400 lines
non-interlaced. That's probably it.

I'l give it a try.. PQ for the day.. the values in compose morph for set
controls for dctv (not the film size) should be 736 x 484.. for a full screen
morph, correct? (will be on vaKay for a week so I will check after mem. day)
-Tom-
736*482 for full screen in DCTV tho 484 won't make much difference
Or, press LeftAmiga-N and the Workbench will pop to the front right away.
Blaq!
Thanks for the tip.. my normal sequence preceds that with "cntrl" . so close
and ytet so far… (I did have it freeze on me when I returned to IM, once
though, couldn't move the cursor!)
