#A2000HC controller
8 messages in this thread
greetings… I have an old GVP A2000HC series 1 controller and need to get the
low level software so I can upgrade to a larger that 40 meg disk. Also the 40
meg is having some problems, source unknown. Any help would be great. A local
store gave it a good shot , but no luck.

Wayne,
Sorry…I'm not a GVP Tech person, just someone who occasionally tries to
help. SCSI disks don't usually need (or like, sometimes) low level
formats. With SCSI, regular Amiga formatting is usually all that's
required. However, you will probably need either GVP's or public domain
prep software, which allows your system to recognize the disk and allow
partitioning before DOS formatting.
You might want to re-post your note to GVP tECH or SYSOP in this section.

greetings… thanks for the input on my old GVP controller problem.
greetings…. hopefully you have access to GVP. I really need to get some low
level software so that I can upgrade this 40 meg HD which is using an old
A2000HC controller , maybe series 1.
I'm sorry Wayne, but I don't exactly understand your problem. What does
formatting software have to do with upgrading your hard drive? What's
wrong with it that you feel you need to low level format?
Explain in more detail, please.

greetings… will write you thru regular email. , and especially as I actually
solve the problem. As you might see here, GVP has the software on their BBS
now.
