Jerry, Does your documentation say anywhere what VGA chipset your laptop uses? -brian

Brian, RE: the toshiba 4800ct laptop drivers. No it doesn't say what the vga chipset is, however i did get through to toshiba tech support (it took more than a week of solid calling!) the chipset is western digital 90c24a. we managed to get the system working through the vesa support. this is what we were really after anyhow because we are also using this system for some virtual reality demo stuff and our software only supports VESA compatible cards. the toshiba is vesa compatible but is not supplied with the vesa drivers (go figure?). thanks for your help Jerry O'Connor Summit Graphics, Inc.

Jerry I am currently running 3D Studio on a Toshiba Portege T3400ct. I used the vibrent graphics display set to a Paradise VGA Pro 640×480 for all settings including the flick player. I am not positive, but would imagin that the T4800ct uses the same ship set… If this does not work, there is a Toshiba Forum on CIS that is very helpful. Good luck Zac, Berk.
