Ian: Have you been able to transfer Windows QT files to the Mac? I heard from Apple that they're not compatable. I'd be very interested in the cheapest way to do this. I transfer .tga's into a Media 100, and would like a quicker way to do so. Right now, I convert to picts, net the picts over to the Mac, use a pict <-> QT util to make an uncompressed QT file, and import that into the Media 100. Quite a lengthy process… Do you know of an AVI/TGA =>QT converter for the PC that will work, or is Premiere the best solution?

John, The way I convert TGAs to Applle QT is to – 1) Create a QT movie from sequencial TGAs in Win Premiere 2) Open the Win QT file in Mac Premiere then resave it (to Mac QT). Although Mac and Win QT files are not compatible Mac Premiere can read the Windows flavor. Another solution on the Mac side may be Debabalizer, though I have no experience with this program. Ian.

Thanks Ian, too bad I don't have Premiere on either end.. I guess it's worth my $ to do it the same way.. JNJ
