I have just recieved the IPAS Disk #6 and am trying to learn skinning. I have been working on the first tutorial (making a vase and skining it) and i am not getting the results shown in the book. The pictures in the book show the square vase becoming round. When I render my vase it only rounds over the corners. What am i doing wrong.?

Make sure your SHAPE & PATH steps are set to 0. Make sure B-Spline is selected in the axp dialog (as opposed to Catmull-Rom). Adjust SMOOTHNESS as needed to smooth the perimeter. Shouldn't be a problem. BILL

Bill's comments are right-on. If you're doing those things and are following the tutorial's directions, you'll be fine.

Thanks for the info. The problem was that i needed to turn off optimize in the lofter. Thanks Steve Clayton (Random Programming)
