I should be getting my PAR in a matter of hours and I can hardly wait! I went
for the 1.7 Gig Micropolis!
However, I was wondering if anyone has had experience in running the PAR under
OS/2 (2.1). I think it should run fine under a dos window. Since there are no
OS/2 specific device drivers (to my knowledge), a DOS window or FS should be
the way to go.

To my knowledge, the PAR will not run under OS/2 unless you boot DOS in a DOS
box (unlike just opening a OS/2 DOS box). OS/2's implementation of DOS ain't
compatible enough…
Thanks Gus, I found this out the hard way, and arrived at the
solution you recommend here. It works flawlessly. I just uploaded a
message to tell everyone I have it running under OS/2. I thought the
problem was just a misinterpretation of the version number. No
worries — I am happily PARing away with NO problems whatsoever in an
MS DOS 5.0 DOS Box. Great stuff!
