Does anyone know whether the Amiga Unix software, version 2.1, supports CD-ROM. Can a SCSI-2 CD-ROM be plugged into the SCSI port and be mounted, say using high-sierra file system?? I would be interested to know of any successful CD-ROM usage with Amiga Unix. -Jay Pedersen

There is no included CD-ROM driver. I don't remember whether one has been written. — Dale L. Larson, Intangible Assets Manufacturing

I don't believe a "CD-ROM driver" is required. At least if a SCSI CD-ROM is used. I think the question is whether the file system "hsfs" – I believe that is it – for high sierra file system, is supported. -Jay Pedersen

Whatever you want to call it or belive, Amiga Unix does not come with the capability to access CD-ROMs out of the box. 🙂 — Dale L. Larson, Intangible Assets Manufacturing
