#Zip Problems
3 messages in this thread
I tried to use the latest incarnation of Zip, at least I think it's the
latest. Zip19Lx is what I have. Anyway, Zip is on a floppy, the file I
wanted to deflate is on my HD. After CD DF0: I typed Zip DH0:OnLine!/WR;
WR being the file I want deflated. but the response I get is, " nothing to
do OnLine!/WR.zip". I tried several variations, but always the same
result. I don't use zip too often for deflation so I checked the docs,
but they were of no help. I ended up using an older version of PKAZip. I
would still like a hand with the newer Zip, if someone can, I'd appreciate
it.

Lou,
You have to tell ZIP what you want it to do, in your case, extract the
files.
zip -x dh0:online!/wr
That will extract the files onto the floppy. If you want to extract
the files to the HD, then change directories to the HD and type DF0:zip -x wr
Don
That must be a newer Zip than the one I'm using. The one I have won't
uncompress, there's a seperate file called UnZip for that.
