I have not located a demo version of Turbocalc yet. I'm still looking 🙂
I don't know what the deal is with Commodore! As best I can tell,
Commodore is voluntarily liquidating SOMETHING and there is lots of
speculation some party(ies) is(are) interested in at least some part of
the Amiga technology for one reason or the other. I believe the advice
given by those much wiser than I should be applied: let's wait for the
smoke to clear!

Ed,
I'm in the process of doing a few translations on the English demo disk
(only the program itself and three sheets originally were in English). I'm
going to include the example sheets that were missing in the English
version as well and try to translate as much as possible (I don't have the
release version, just the 40×40 demo from the AmigaPlus CoverDisk which
can save, so I will not be able to rework ALL examples…).
I have some problems regarding TC and my MERLIN graphics board – TC
will open correctly only if my Workbench screen is Amiga Mode.
Furthermore, the 40×40 demo seems to crash after a while (which the 'no
save' demo doesn't), so translation work is really a pain in the ***.
Wait just a tiny bit more and the demo will finally be on its way.

Chris,
Found TurboCalc 2.06 demo on the April '94 FrozenFish CDROM! Did a
quick peek and I liked what I saw! This spreadsheet "looks and feels"
professional and has some of the nice little extras I was looking for like
inserting functions into a cell from a list, a quick action button strip
(is this user modifiable?), and on-line help. I have yet to build a
complete spreadsheet application (a small one since the demo won't save),
but I will soon. I don't envy you for the translation work but I sure do
appreciate it! I am a little surprised that TurboCalc doesn't use the
locale feature of the OS to support other languages and doesn't use
AmigaGuide to provide the on-line help, but these minor "nits" don't
detract much from the package. Thanks for the recommendation!

Hi Ed,
Thanks for answering my question and I will follow your advice.

If you didnt find the TurboCalc demo version, I can send you the
German demo version (regrettable only the "German" version).
