Do IBM mice work on the Amiga? Mike McCormick

MMcC >>Do IBM mice work on the Amiga?<< Only the IBM bus mice. However, you will need to either re-wire the mouse's plug, or use an adapter since the Amiga's mouse port uses a db-9 plug, and I believe is wired differently from what an IBM expects. RE: IBM Mice As Ron said, only IBM Bus mice work on an Amiga with an adapter cable. The only reason to use a IBM Bus mouse like the Logitech Mouseman, which I use..is the higher quality and 400dpi. The Mouseman is the best mouse I've ever used, most comfortable too. It's the most expensive mouse for the Amiga, but you get what you pay for. Ray Tronix Micro Systems

Ray, I haven't used the Logitech Mouseman … but my all time favorite mouse is the one that came with the A3000 Unix machine. The mouse that came with my 4000 is a piece of junk (by far worse than the mouse that came with my 1000, 2000, or 3000). When the Unix machine was first released I got my local service tech to order me one… it's very nice. -sja
