How do I hook up my 500 to a SVGA monitor?

Unless you've got something like a FlickerFixer that puts out a 31khz signal, you don't. -sja

I don't have a flickerfixer. Oh well. Anybody have one fore sale?

Donovan, You'll need a deinterlacer.

Thanks Michael, I'll look for one.

As everone has said, you need a de-interlacer board, more specifically a ICD Flicker Free Video, which is the only one that fits in a A500. Also…be careful as to you selection of VGA monitors, many will display black borders on the sides where the overscan area should be. Best monitors I've found to give you full use of the screen are AAmazing Multicans and the Samsung 3NE. The Samsung has a better picture, so I'd recommend it first. Ray Tronix Micro Systems

Thanks for the exact info Ray. I'll keep my eyes peeled for an ICD Flicker Free Video. Whatever happened to ICD anyway? I thought they had some pretty neat products a while back. Though expensive.

ICD is still around, I don't know what they're up too lately. They do make some good products, Flicker Free Video is the best de- interlacer board out there..I hope they are still making them. I'm a dealer and I just sold my last one this month, I need some more. 🙂 Ray Tronix Micro Systems

Ray, Believe me ICD is alive and well. They still ship both the FFV and FFV2. Although their automated phone system is a little annoying. Make sure you get an extension # from someone as soon as you make contact , else all you do is end up leaving your name, address, phone, message etc etc etc etc.. They have been very good with me in helping solve problems I've had recently. Rocky

So whatever happened to the Viper and all other new products? Paul

Paul, That I know nothing about. I wasn't following any of the new developments, though considering the road everyone's on now with the amiga I doubt if I would be starting up production on anything new for it only. Rocky

Oh, it was at least a year ago. More like 2. When I first bought my 1200 they'd been about to come out with it for months. Paul
