I have just recieved the Sanyo GVR-s950 single-frame S-VHS recorder…it's great…and was wondering if anybody else out there has one and if so is there any PD software for it yet? For anyone interested, the GVR-S950 is shipped with Amiga software to control it. It is very cool to be able to type which frame # to start an edit and which to end on. It also uses AREX but no AREX programs are provided. It's interface is nice but I figured Some industrious Amigian had come up with a sexy front-end for it by now. Anyway…Anybody else have one yet or did I buy the only one? [D [D

Yea! Used one as a demo but got put off by the fact that Deck to Deck editing isn't possible (with any accuracy). I am planning on writing some stuf for control, though. I will probably not get one of the 950's. I will wait for the 955 that (supposedly) deals with the editing situations. Goodluck, I am sure someone out there IS working on something for the deck. Yes. Thanx Lou, but I was demoing the Edit-San from TAO… I was really not impressed with the response time, but the real problem was not with the TAO side… It seams that environ would be fine for editing via EDL's, my gripe was with the fact that the Sanyos were unable to edit between themselves… Just crash edit! Thanx for the response though. If you would like to talk more let me know.
