#SoftEdge Lite?
5 messages in this thread
Howdy All,
What am I missing in applying the SoftEdge Lite texture? I read the
lite.txt file, and am unsure how to apply the effect to a light?
Also, where is the latest "UnZipping" utiity for the addendums Mike
uploaded here?
TIA,
Jan
Otherwise immensely enjoying 3.0! (Amiga)
You need IM3FIX.LHA not the zipped file (the zipped file is for the MS-DOS
version of Imagine 3.0). If you don't have LHARC, you'll find it here in
the Amiga forums on CIS.

Hi Jim,
Got your msg re: IM3FIX.lha. Not quite sure what it was supposed to have
to do with understanding how to apply a soft edge effect to an Imagine
lightsource?
I did dl it and run it. The Amiga version, and I suppose it worked. I
wasn't yet running in to the non-reflecting ground problem, so haven't
noticed anything different yet.
I still don't know how to apply the "Softedge.itx" effect.
TIA,
Jan
Hmmm… I guess I replyed to the wrong person. Sorry. I havn't had a
chance to play with 3.0 much. I have been reading the questions posted
here and saving the answers in hopes of learning how to do things without
having to read the manual all the way through, which I may have to do
someday.

Jim,
Don't feel bad about replying to the wrong person. After reading your
repy, I dutifully dl'd the file, un lharc'd it, read the readme file,
placed it in **IMAGEMASTERs** directory, ran it, then was confused when it
couldn't find Imf.fp. Undaunted, because after all, I'm a sophisticated,
long time Amigoid, I renamed IMAGEMASTER to Imf.fp(!)
I eventually realized what the hell was going on, and after laughing out
loud at myself, I dealt with the patch in IMAGINE's directory
successfully!
It was a good, humbling experience, thanx for the hearty chuckle!
