#M1230XA vs I-Card

I don't know of any reason why the M1230XA would be incompatible with a
PCMCIA card. The M1230XA's memory appears in a high address range, and
should not interfere with any device in the AUTOCONFIG(tm) range like the
PCMCIA slot. I haven't tried this, but I have been thinking of getting the
Ethernet card so I can get a faster link between my A2000 and A1200 than
the slip.device I'm using now. I already have an M1230XA w/8MB…

Thanx. Sounds like I can keep the card even though the slot on the second
1200 itself has apparently gone south. (Swapping the I-Card and cable over
to my other 1200 works fine but even with the 1230 removed I can't get
diddly out of the new machine. Swapping the 1230 into that machine is a
last resort effort due to all the fun involved in pulling the 12
gauge/scsi connection out of that one.)
Can you explain to me what the problem was with the 8M MBX1200?

I had the MBX1200 mem expansion board and found it was incompatible with
the I-Card so I'm being a bit cautious about this card. I did notice that
even with as little as 2M this card seems to be splitting memory into
multiple banks but I no longer have the old MBX to go back and see what it
was that caused the conflict in it.
