Anyhow, i think i 'll keep the expansion-port free for a while, waiting for it.

Think ahead, Jim is now doing the current version, but when that is finished
and the Amiga is in save hands, he'll be thinking of new products. If he has
seen a lot of positive reactions on the A1200-emplant, he'll at least give it
serious thought.

React here, DO YOU WANT AN AMIGA1200-EMPLANT. Send a message stating what it
should include, should it be PCMCIA-based, expansion-slot based, what should it
be capable of, how much memory, processor speed. See my list below.
BE SERIOUS, give a clear indication how serious you are about buying such
product if it becames avai;lable

Personally, for the same price as the current version, emulating PC and MAC, i
would like a expansion-port Emplant, though PCMCIA is no problem too. If
expansion-port based i'll like the possibility to expand Amiga-memory, maybe by
sharing memory between PC, Mac and Amiga. Of couse i would pay extra for the
memory. Using a CD32 though the communicator at all 3 platform would be great,
i;ll pay an extra $100 for that. Emulating a CD-I (Philips OS-9) would make me
pay an other $100.
YES, I'm VERY serious about Amiga 1200 based Empant board!
It should be PCMCIA (I already have an accelerator on the expansion slot.)
It should have the SCSI and two serial port like the normal Emplant
boards. It deon't need to have a processor ont, nor does it need RAM, as
it'll use 1200's.
I need the SCSI and serial ports more than the emulation (though the PC
(OS/2) emulation would be nice!)

I'm one of those wacky amiga owners who wants to emulate everything
if possible.
yes I want and would buy an amiga1200 emplant.
If it was for the expansion slot would that stop me from using the gvp
1230 turbo II.
Are there any draw backs from using PCMCIA over expansion-slot?
One serious question—-
instead of making an emplant for the A1200 why not make an
expansion box for the 1200 with more slots and a video slot thana 4000.
that way you don't loose money buy making two different products
and you add more people buying your original product.
anyway-
as soon as the emplant for 1200 is available I'll buy it.
I read several times that A1200 version of EMPLANT is already completed, and it
is pending the FCC whatever. I thought this was a statement made by Jim Drew
himself.

On May 9th the UU BBS Sysop replied to the question about the PCMCIA
Emplant…
"The market is not great enough at this point to warrant production of
the PCMCIA version."

That message was later recanted and is now being re-looked at. Jim is
only working on one thing at a time and right now, he is feverishly
working on MultiOSFileSystem and the 486DX emulation. The PCMCIA A1200
Emplant might still happen.

I am interested in a PCMCIA version of Emplant. Have to "multi-function"
the card for use in my "already occupied" expansion slot is a bit
unacceptable.
With '486 emulation, yes I would definately buy. (Mac would be a future
consideration, but have little to no need for such a beast currently)

I'm seriously interested in a PCMCIA-based Emplant board. It will all
depend on price and features set. I'd want it to handle multiple
emulations like the existing Emplant board.
