I'm not quite sure what you're expecting to be able to do with your genlock, but I do know what is meant by the "chroma key" function in the Rendale. It is not a true "chroma key" like you would find in a conventional vision mixer, which would let you superimpose a person (in front of a blue background) over another video source (eg weatherman in front of computer generated map). The "chroma key" on the Rendale is used to select which Amiga colour will be transparent (instead of Color 0), which is not the same thing at all. This function can be selected under software control, I think, but it is certainly not possible to achieve the other "external chroma key" effect. There is a device from G2 Systems called the "Illusion" which will produce quite good external chroma keying, and also the cheaper "RocKey", but I wouldn't expect the quality to be so good off that. Hope this helps, Martin Kay, ZEN Computer Services

Martin, I think your explanation about genlocking and the "chroma-key" was intended for someone else, it came to me. I havent got one. RGDS Laurie Carroll AKL NZ Longdistance Autopilot
