Could someone tell me exactly what MUI is/does? Is it commercial?

Stefan Stuntz, didn't like the Amiga's GUI interface so he wrote an optional
interface called Magic User Interface (MUI).
To use the MUI, a program has to be coded to use MUI instead of a custom GUI or
the Amiga's built-in GUI. As designed the MUI is configurable by the USER.
If the user doesn't like the images used for the buttons, gadgets, text boxes,
fonts, etc., the user is load in an optional set and save it as the system
default (or just for a specific program).
The MUI is shareware, a copyrighted program with the author expecting a fee,
but with the option to try before you buy. You can download a copy from the
libraries.
Ron.
The problem, I might add, is that while the registration is listed in the file
as something close to $20 US, none of the snail-mail sites appear to work, and
Stuntz' CIS SWREG fee is a whopping $59.95!!!
Other than that, I like parts of MUI. <G>

Paul,
I believe you said at one time you were going to email Stuntz about the $59.95
registration fee for MUI on SWREG. I did and never received a response. Did you
have any better luck?

I wrote to him also – with no reply!

Michael-
Nope. And frankly, I wish authors would stop supporting him because of it.
