Hiya, I've just bought the Zappo CD-Rom drive for my A1200, and started to have a problem with overheating almost immediately. It's a 6 meg machine with extra floppy, hard drive, sampler, digitizer all connected. Obviously it was under a bit of pressure, so I unplugged everything, now the CD-rom doesn't like my poor likkle Amiga anymore. The supplier reckons I need a seperate power supply for my Zappo, and they don't stock them! Typical! Has anyone else suffered from the same problems? Thanks. Sinbad

I have a Zappo hooked up to a A1200 w/M1230XA 50/50/8 installed. Had a heating prob, so I bought a Pentium cooling fan, and by butchering the door as well as my pull out keyboard shelf, I have the fan pointing downward. The power line from the Zappo uses the same voltage as the fan so there's one fix. Of course, you need a desk with a pull out keyboard. Oh yeah, by using small flush head wood screws, I've slung the Zappo underneath the shelf as well. Works for me! 😉 – Phillip, on AutoPilot 1.80 _____T_____ Going Amiga 'till the Sun goes Nova! * * O * * B5>ST.all
