AMuse, the New York Amiga Users Group, in conjunction with G&T Management – a professional management agency – is pleased to announce the coming of AmigaEXPO. This is an Amiga specific event designed to highlight the Amiga and allow it to achieve the heights we all know it deserves. A text file (AmyEXPO.txt) has been u/l'd to area 3 and describes the events and how to get more information – but here it is for those who can't wait – The Schedule: Fall '87 – Sheraton Centre Hotel October 10-12, 1987 New York, NY Winter '88 – Hyatt Regency Hotel February 26-28, 1988 San Francisco, CA Spring '88 – Hyatt Regency Hotel May 20-22, 1988 Chicago, IL For further information call AmigaEXPO Headquarters (212) 867-4663 (the 800 number will be ready mid-February) or leave E-Mail to 72437,2354 or regular mail: AmigaEXPO 211 East 43rd Street, Suite 301 New York, NY 10017 Please leave your name, company (if any), address, and phone #, as well as whether you are interested in info as an attendee or exhibitor. We have been planning this for over 7 months now and are finally ready to do it up right!! We have Commodore-Amiga's assurance that they will support us. We hope to get the rest of the country (the World!) as excited about the Amiga as we all are. We hope you will join us. Thanks, Joe Lowery Chairman, AMuse for AmigaEXPO.

You know it's ridiculous the things you have to do just to meet the next door neighbor. Did I mention that the AmigaEXPO is a covered-disk affair? BYOSoftware. Yeah, it'll be great to finally get to hobnob with all these names that are constantly typed at you. See you there.

Actually, I'm going to try and make it to the next AMUSE meeting – figure it's about time I attend one. See you soon…Marlene

The words "Durn tootin'!" come to mind — I remember seeing your name in Sept. of '85, before my beard turned grey, on the CBM2000 section – aren't you in LI? Anyway next Tuesday, Aegis will be strutting some new stuff – the 3-D animation package, Digas (with its DoubleTalk) – and whatever else they can throw in a backpack… Yeah! So come and make sure you say hello… Joe

Yes Joe, I'm from Long Island – I'll be there with Aaron Shildkraut – and another LICA member or two. Marlene

Thanks, Ed… does a body good – of course we hope what we are doing with AmigaEXPO is good for everybody. The main thought is to put on a professional show that raises the Amiga awareness level to where it belongs . belongs… the top! We passed out brochures at the New York Computer Graphic Show today, in and around the Amiga booth (the word Commodore was nowhere to be seen) and they went like hot-cakes. BTW, consider it an open invite to come talk to AMuse anytime you are in town. Joe

That's nice but… February '88?!? You've been planning for over 7 months and now you're announcing it another 8 1/2 months in advance? I can't wait that long!! The local SF show won't be for a year+. Sigh. (But thanks for planning it, nonetheless!!) >Bela<

Bela, Feb '88 is 12.5 months in advance. Don

Hey, we have to give people lead time to start writing programs for the "Amiga's Cup" Competition we're having in conjunction with AmigaExpo. I wanted to have it last September, but thank goodness cooler minds prevailed – otherwise I'd have nothing to do now…

Surely look forward to attending, probably as a simple attendee. I would appreciate your keeping me informed of all details. Thanks! Mark Rausher, 2815 Coyle St. #511, Bklyn, NY 11235
