#GVP G-Lock to SONY XBR^2

Hi All,
Please let me know if the following is a real solution…
GVP Tech Support told me I could use their G-Lock hardware to run from the
A4000 to a Sony XBR^2 Television. He said I would get good looking results
in all the modes the A4000 and the new AGA could display, including HAM-8.
The GVP tech told me I could use the composite output of the G-Lock to run
15Khz to the Television and that the G-Lock would let me run the 31Khz
modes to the Television also with execlent results… Is this for real? Is
it worth doing? Or should I just get a CBM-1960 or a Sony-1302 and forget
the whole thing?
But wouldn't it be cool to be working the A4000 with Ren & Stimpy Playing
in the PIP!!!?

I can't answer for the G-Lock but the IV-24 will let you do it …and quite
well I might add…it will also let you put TV(Comp, Y/C, etc) on the
monitor….S-VHS Indiana Jones looked pretty good on the 20" hitachi.

I think the part of the GLock running 31KHz video out to your TV is a wild
fantasy. I just tried the GLock on the A4000 and my multisync and I am not
pleased; Even the 15KHz interlaced with GL enabled is not right. And even
with the GLock disabled, deinterlaced video is not passed through
correctly..the picture is totally messed up.
I am going to have a nice talk with GVP shortly.

Let me know how the outcome on this one…! I will have a lot of money
riding on the G-Lock and XBR^2 if this is just a wild fantasy.!!!
