Our local Rumbelows has re-opened as an Escom. They didn't know anything about plans for the Amiga but they did at least know that Escom had bought Amiga. They were selling Pentiums starting around 1000 pounds including VAT, is that still cheap for a Pentium? Peter Wade Autopiloting from London, England

Pentium 60/75 multimedia units are selling for less than US$2,000 these days and you can pick up no-name Pentium 90/100's for slightly less than US$ 2,000. Jerry

I know only a states who Computer are cheap, it's in Switzerland, I've bought a Pentium 60 for Sfr 1600,- (750 pounds), it's more cheaper as USA… It's cool… But 1000 pounds for a Pentium is a really great price! Peter: I guess that 1000 pounds inc. VAT is a pretty good price if that includes a monitor and a decent size HD but you really have to scrutinise the fine print for all the hidden extras nowadays. I note that Escom has a front page ad. in the D. Telegraph today, 10 May, telling people to "look out for further announcements"! Bob Bob Wellbeloved Winchester UK

Steve: No. I haven't been into an Escom store as yet but can visualise them from your'graphic' description! I note that Escom has an ad. on the front page of the D.
