#Amiga client to WinNT ?

We need to be able to exchange files between PCs, Macs and Amigas. We intend to run Windows NT server, with Mac and Windows 95 clients. Would someone know whether there is a way for an Amiga to also access files on WinNT server? Thanks in advance. Milivoj

Milivoj, Oxxi Inc. produces Amiga ACS (Amiga Client Server) software that allows your Amiga (with ethernet card) to connect to an Novell LAN. The software provides full LAN functionality such as device & file sharing and security. The Amiga will be just another cliect on the LAN. I don't have the product but hope to purchase it soon provided Oxxi and the software is still around. You can reach Oxxi via the AMIGAVEN forum. I hope this helps. Michael P. Harbin

There are 3rd party novell compatibility productsfor WinNT that could help you in using the ACS software. Turns a WinNT server into a novell compatible FS for file and print services. MS is also going to have its own version of this (its already in beta) –Gabe

As someone else already mentioned, Oxxi Netware is a possibility, though I don't think Netware server is part of NT server. I believe NT server does, however, know about TCP/IP and NFS. There are a few TCP/IP packages and NFS client packages available for the Amiga. That is probably the solution I would recommend. dale@iam.com http://www.iam.com Intangible Assets Manufacturing

Dale, Yes, NT runs TCP/IP. I'm not sure about NFS; this might require a 3d party product, which I hoped to be able to avoid, to keep things as simple as possible. What TCP/IP and NFS packages would you recommend for the Amiga side? Milivoj
