I am having trouble connecting to compuserve using PPP V1.30 and AMITCP I get a
connection to cis but am recieving only GARBLED text does any one have any
suggestions (config, serial settings etc) ??

I had the same problem. If you are trying to use WAIT statements, it can be
a pain. See if the last couple of letters for each prompt are clear, if so,
rely on those. WAIT seems to match from right to left so you can pick off just
those letters. See my previous post to Monty for an example dial script.
