is any one out there *&$@!'ing listening to these posts or am i just wasting my time here at the ""Amiga"" forum ??????????????? I have asked twice about interfacing C= 1581, 1571, 1541 type disk drives to the Amiga-if it's possible and what's needed. Haven't heard crap…….I could use a yes, no, or at least a heartbeat of somekind from SOMEONE!!…… please.

Go to the Emulations library, I believe it's library 14 or use the Amiga File Finder to find the following files: FRODO.Lha and A64.Lha. Download them, decompress them and read them.

Paul: Thanks for the info, but I don't know how to decompress.

Probably nobody knows if it's possible to run a c64 drive from an Amiga. I don't…. although there is or was a 64 emulator for the Amiga. I seem to recall that you could order some kind of disk interface from the Author. I don't know if the interface would allow Amiga access to the drives. Try browsing the "Emulations" library. Or if you have Internet access, one of the AMINET sites, they have some hardware hacks on file. It ought to be doable… every once in a while I get the idea to hook up my Atari 800XL to the Amiga's serial port, and write a program to pretend to be a couple disk drives & a printer. -Jim MOS via Autopilot & Amiga

Yes you can use the 1571 or 1541 with your Amiga ,but it is in the 64 mode only. I bought one when I sold my 128D and didn't want to part with certain games. Jim
