Hi
I've tried to use the Internet feature of compuserve and I read that
you need CIM software. Does that mean Amigas can't access that service?

No, you can connect to the internet with AmiTCP and PPP, which are available in
the AmigaUser libraries. Then you can run ftp, telnet, and AMosaic. AMosaic
is also in the libraries, and I think telnet and ftp come with AmiTCP (I
haven't used them). Setting all this up is not simple, but many have done it.
You might look for and download PPPHELP.LHA (I think it's called), which Steve
Pietrowicz made to help people. The one thing you can't do, as far as I know,
is access the Usenet news groups. For this, I thought I read that you need CIM
software. It's not an Amiga problem. CompuServe only makes the news groups
available trhough their regular software, not through their internet
connection.

No. I access Usenet newsgroups wit AP in interactive mode. It works quite well.
