I am an architect that needs to record an animation. Iheard that the PAR is the way to go but i cant understand a couple of things. First how can you render over a network from 3d studio if the Par cannot run on the server. Do I have to give up my client server setup for a less reliable peer to peer? Please get bck to me if you have any awnsers

Alan: There are two ways that I achieve what you have requested – to create animations on the PAR whilst using a client/server network without having the PAR on the server. The first way I do this is simply pile up all of the net-rendered .tga files on the common server drive. When completed I copy them to the PAR, and instant animation. The second method is a way to get your frames to the PAR automatically. For this you'll want to buy Greg Pyros' PAROUT utilities which include an IPAS which will copy the frames from your server drive to your PAR drive and, if you desire, it can delete the frames after they are copied. This would save you a ton of disk space. Bob
