#Character mouth
4 messages in this thread
I'm searching for some good tips on character creation. Specifically how to go
about creating a mouth. I'm doing a small (hopefully quick) job for a client
that involves building a little monster. He's really pretty simple but I'm
having some trouble with his mouth. Basically he's kind of a pac-man looking
dude but with a little tail on top. Sort of resembles an upside down comma. His
mouth has to be able to open and close. He'll also have arms and legs that I'll
just boolean on and use smooth. (I think) Anyway, if anyone can give any advice
I'd appreciate it. I'm thinking metaballs may make whort work of this but I
don't yet have it. Any ideas?

Jonas, I've seen Glenn's monster. It's nice. But it gives me absolutely no help
whatsoever. Thanks.

If I remember what you were trying to do (?), you should see Glenn's SkinKid
(or something like that). Build a low-vert rectangular lattice, select some
vert's in the mouth region, and pull them back into a mouth cavity….then skin
& tweak.
