Hello, Does anybody know if, unlike rel 4, rel 5 will be optimized to work in conjunction with Matrox Impression's OpenGL driver? I am considering the purchase of a Matrox 64bit MGA Ultima, which does not support that kind of technology. Is OpenGL the wave of the future? Does it have anything to do with rendering speed? Thanks!

Philippe, << Does anybody know if, unlike rel 4, rel 5 will be optimized to work in conjunction with Matrox Impression's OpenGL driver? >> Nothing much has been said on that yet. But a lot of use are hoping… << I am considering the purchase of a Matrox 64bit MGA Ultima, which does not support that kind of technology. But it does speed up realtime previews. I have no idea if you could save a OpenGL created preview animation. Does anyone have any idea? Mark

>> I have no idea if you could save a OpenGL created preview animation. OGL will paint a pretty picture. The programmer then takes the device context for that window and does whatever it wants to with the bitmap data left there then asks OGL for the next frame. But this is all conjecture, as I know only the most superficial stuff about OGL. – gruhn
