Hello, I am looking for info on a video board to do real time shaded and or wireframe animation. I also would like to har about what is generally the best video board to use with 3DS. Thanks

James, << I am looking for info on a video board to do real time shaded and or wireframe animation. >> Well realtime previews are mostly cpu independent unless you are talking about a graphics card with the Glint chip on it. If that is the case then 3DSr5 for Windows NT *might* support OpenGL. Mark

James, Get yourself a Matrox Impression Plus. It's a 64bit 2M VRAM PCI card that's presently selling on CSERVE for next to nothing. Check out the classifieds: I don't think it's been sold yet. It supports OpenGL, some new 3D video board technology that will probably get a lot of attention within the next few months. ( I didn't have the money to buy it <g>) -Phil
