#HELP..PAR cant convert!!

HELP!
We are trying to get a par board up and running, and it will only give me the
error that it cannot convert the file(s) I am trying to view or import. We
have another PAR running well, and we have gone over this one trying to find
the problem to no avail. It is vital that we figure this problem out as soon
as possible, as our project is due tomorrow! Can anyone help with this
problem??
We are running it on a Dell pentium 90 w/68 megs ram, and run Qemm. HELP!!
Tolek,
The first thing that comes to mind is the buffer size in the PARDRV setting in
your PAR batch file. If you have rendered to an alpha/32-bit file the buffer
size needs to be increased to read C:\DPS_PAR\PARDRV /B:1800, you might have to
increase it a few more bites depending if it is NTSC or PAL format. Without
seeing your setup this is going to be hard to troubleshoot. Good Luck!

Mike,
Thanks for your suggestion. I'll raise the buffer right now. We have gotten
it working by removing qemm, and cleaning up the autoexec and config.sys. I
don't know exactly what was casuing the trouble, but removing qemm got us
going. We are using 32 bit images, so the buffer probably needs raising as
well.
Thanks.

Doug,
Now that I have your name right<G>, the buffer allocates more memory for
importing of files, so if the file imports OK with the original setting then
there is no need to increase the buffer size. Sound like you are up and going,
I hope you got your project out in time.

Thanks Mike,
Sorry for not replying sooner, but the project was extremely tight. We
finished and everyone was happy with it. It was for the Inauguration of the
new president for Georgia Tech, so there was a lot of pressure on our little
department. Thanks for your help.
