#Animator Studio Question

I just purchased Animator Studio and had some questions. 1. Was it suppose to come with a reference manual. All I got for a manual was a tutorial and a couple floating pages on tips and troubleshooting? I know theirs is online help but nothing beats a good reference manual. 2. It crashes under Windows 95, something about a flipper error. Is their plans to support Windows 95 for Animator Studio? 3. In the preference section under memory there is edit field that allows you enter the amount memory you want animator studio to use The max value says I can use 48Meg but the fiel will only let you enter 32Meg. Does that mean Animator Studio can only use 32Megs of RAM? 4. I trieds to load a stream of 160 Targa files at 752×480 about 100Megs worth and Animator Studio crashed about 3/4 of the way through loading. Does Animator Studio have some limit on the size of an animation? If so is this related to the possible 32Meg limitation mentioned above? 5. I also get animation error messages when appling inks over time to large flics? Peter W.

The splash avi isnt coming out right. Just wanted to put in my two cents before the adesk "helpers" answer. Bill

Bill, Got yourself a great big Permanent Swap File? This was one of the things that triggered the "FLIPPER" error during training. Probably not the only reason, though, as I'm sure you've already got one. Kevin Krell – Computer Support Associates

Oh! You know I have stayed away from perm swap files in windows due to something I heard once about potential probs with one of my apps. Though at the moment I cant for the life of me remember which one! Maybe it had something to do with Diaquest and Targa? I will experiment, thanks Kevin. Bill

Bill, Animator Studio should get a permanent swap file of 3-4x system RAM. Kevin Krell – Computer Support Associates

I thought windows could not use a permanent swap of larger than 2x your RAM and that anything passed that was just a waste of disk space. Peter W.

Peter, I think the # is 4x your RAM, and you can use beyond that by setting the PageOverCommit in your [enh] section. Kevin Krell – Computer Support Associates
