#Going to Kansas City

Dave, you big speed-demon you! I hear your coming to KC this weekend.
I'll alert the proper authorities.

Harley:
Is it YOU who's trying to talk Gaff into a Power Mac for his personal machine?
<G> That boy just keeps talkin', but I don't see no do'in!
He mentioned you were trying to talk him into 3DS (for the office), but it
seems as though he (and the bosses) just want a basic modeler to ease the
creation of massings for transport into ACAD. If those UpFront guys whould
hurry up and get v2 out for Windows, they'd have a sale, but they just may lose
a sale here.
You still lurking in the video rooms at the JuCo?
Dave
Dave,
PowerMac, me? I woudn't touch such filth! 😉 (Actually, considering
the amount of headaches I've dealt with my PC -i.e. conflicts, conflicts,
conflitcs, sometimes they don't look SO bad).
I only mentioned 3DS for his home use. As to what they want in the
office, (maybe a cleaning lady?) I have no idea. Upfront would probably be
perfect for them. Mike is really only looking for something to make
backgrounds for his comic opus. I was showing him 3ds to give him an idea of
what's possible (and to keep him away from those Macs!). Actually, let's be
honest – Mike can say whatever he wants, but the real reason he wants a
computer is to play games.
Didn't you buy a Micron? How's it holding up? I may actually purchase
my own in the next few months.
Keep singin'
Harley
P.S. Sorry for the delay in this response. Anymore, I spend most of my time
on that supercalinformationishus highway. You should get on the on-ramp,
buddy. Oh, and BTW, I never lurk.
Harley:
Yep, mine's a Micron. Everything seems fine <knock on wood>. I say that w/
caution, as the previous two machines I've personally owned have each crapped
out within the first 12 hours of operation once in my hands — the first was a
power distribution problem on a Zenith mb years ago, and the other was a little
capacitor that blew up on the mb. So, yeah, everything's been wine and roses
w/ this one!<g>
