#Yost IPAS

I guess you didn't get my e-mail so I've reposted the message here.

I purchased a student version of 3DS and was wondering if there was some sort
of similar pricing break for your Yost IPAS routines. The complete set would
cost me more then 3DS itself. Also, from some of the messages in the forum it
appears that some of the routines will be incorporated into R5. Would it be
possible to buy the complete set (#1-7), or maybe just 2,3 disks at a
discounted price?
I also wanted to thank you personally for 3D Studio. My father was in the
hospital for 44 days and I passed many hours reading the tutorials and thinking
about 3DS. It really helped me to change my mind onto more positive thoughts.
So some day when you're feeling a little blue or you're getting hassled by some
user with an attitude, remember that you reach more people, in more ways, more
positively than you thought.
Thank you
Mike
I'm sorry for not responding Mike, but I'm so busy working that I barely have
enough time to quickly scan ASOFT for problems. My private mail on CIS is
basically a huge morass of communication that'll probably all end up slipping
through the cracks. (I should probably just give up CIS for the next 9 months,
but I feel a very strong tie to ASOFT.)
Regarding the complete lack of student pricing of our IPAS routines…
Unfortunately, the entire Boutique concept is simplicity based on
egalitarianism… Basically, once price fits all. I realize that that makes it
really hard on folks like yourself, but if things were any more complicated
than this, I just wouldn't be publishing these add-ons in the first place.
Finally, thanks for the feedback about how 3DS provided some creative
distraction during such a difficult time. I hope your Dad is doing well now.
Take care,

Too bad about the lack of student pricing with IPAS routines. Still I can't
complain if you hand me a piece of cake, but it has no icing <g>. I appreciate
your/adesk consideration of the student situation, I wouldn't have 3DS
otherwise.
My dad is doing fine now. I can't really explain how good it was to explore a
creative medium like 3DS during that period.
Can you recommend a video card for use with 3ds. What do you use?
I'm really keen to see R5 later this year. NT is the way to go. I installed NT
last dec. just to get ready for it's (r5) arrival. I just had faith you'd
continue to do the right things for us.
Thanks
Mike
hmm… I'm probably not the best person to give you a video card
recommendation. I'm sure that many folks on the forum have quite a few
excellent opinions about hardware (I try to stay in software-land as much as
possible).
Thanks for the feedback, Mike (and I'm glad that your Dad's doing well).
