#Where do I start??
3 messages in this thread
I'm interested in 3D animation/modeling and I'm looking for any advice on
getting started. Any and all suggestions appreciated.
I've been looking at purchasing some software and would like others opinions on
what's best. I've been looking at TrueSpace and Asymectric's 3D-FX.
Also, I would appreciate it if someone could suggest some magizines I could
read which focus on grahpics and animation.
Thanks in advance.
Patrick: I use Autodesk's 3D-Studio for the majority of my work. I do a little
with Animator Pro, and I've played with POVRay a little.
I like 3D studio a lot, and I consider it to be well worth the $3000 or so
that it costs (list) but you really have to have a need for it to make it worth
the investment.
As far as magazines are concerned, check out 3D Artist magazine.
It was $29 for 12 issues the last time that I looked.

I think that you can still get a sample issue before you subscribe.
