#PAR and WAV files
4 messages in this thread
Does anyone out there know a way to keep an associated WAV file from stopping
when an ANI reaches the end when playing via MCI driver. I have a very large
animation (1gig) and I need the audio file to keep going after the ANI reaches
the last frame. Normaly I would just repeat the last frame for the amount of
remaining audio time, but I just dont have the room.
Also, I noticed the new PAR MCI (1.1) driver setup has settings for audio
capture. How do I use this function (I have a TBCIV)?
Thanks

The new version of RAZOR PRO handles this easily. It doesn't
build a new file when you make a project with only straight cuts
or frame freezes and so it will solve this problem…
Stand by for the new release…around June 1.

Jamie,
Sounds great, but this project has a lot more than cuts-only editing. It is a
very complex 8 minute piece. Is it possible to make the end section a separate
.ani and then create a new project joining the two without creating a new file?
Is this feature in version 1.0d or do I have to wait for the one you mentioned
(June 1)?
BTY, I am having a problem with the library in 1.0d. It seem like it is being
rebuilt every time I start RP or when I try to scroll down the media library.
The hard drive starts churning and it takes forever to redraw.
Thanks

Yes it is possible to make the end section an ANI and then use that new ANI
in a new project. This is definitely a feature of the new version as it
requires
a complete rewrite of some crucial PAR interface code to complete this.

The Libary is much much faster in the new version – The current version can
get bogged down once a lot of entries are in it. The new version of the
Library is also project based for easier project management.
Things that affect Library speed – RAM, and your display card – choose a
fast display card like a #9 card and make sure that RAZOR PRO has 32MB
for good performance.
