#Word 6.0 with 4L problem
6 messages in this thread
My HP 4L has trouble printing my MS Word 6.0 Forms template. Only when I change
the printer driver to "Deskjet Plus" is the 4L able to print my forms. What's
going on? If I must leave the driver to "deskjet plus", what features am I
giving up?
Background info:
-my MS form is divided into two sections. Only the the first section is
"protected" (users can only enter data into certain areas).
– 4L prints part of the first section and then flashes the Error button.
– the MS form is printed out perfectly under the Deskjet Plus driver, but
surely this is undesirable and completely baffling to me.
Thanks for any help.

Hi Maarten,
Have you tried to reinstall the drivers for your 4L? Protecting part of the
forum should not change anything as far as the printer is concerned.
Just a shot in the dark.

Bud,
Thanks for the suggestion, I'll give it a try. Wonder if HP will ever get back
to me on this.

Hi Maarten,
No problems on the suggestions, but as far as HP getting back to you, you will
need to call tech support. This forum is handled by users and not HP tech
support. Drivers can do some strange things to different programs and
sometimes just re installing the driver help quite a bit. Make sure you exit
all your other applications when you reinstall the driver.
Hope this helps.

Bud,
Thanks again. Didn't realise that this forum is not staffed/monitored by HP.
I'll let you know what happens on the driver reload.
Cheers,
Maarten
