We have a networked LaserJet 4 printer that output an blank page with every job
that is printed. Can anyone help? Thanks.
Often the blank page is generated by the sending application or are caused by a
switching device or network. Some networks have the option to use a banner or
separator page which separates all of the print jobs.
Thanks Annie. I'll hunt around. The software we're using for the most part is
Excel or Winword. I checked to make sure the spread sheets did not have
something overflowing to cause a blank page and also checked the number of
pages in Winword by looking at print preview. The same computers are printing
to an IBM 4039 and the extra blank page does not happen there.
If you happen to think of something else I should check let me know and thanks
again for your help.

You have the possibility to choose whether you want to have such a banner or
not. It could be controlled by your driver ! Go MAIN – CONTROL PANEL – PRINTER
– CONNECT – NETWORK – OPTIONS ! Now you can disable the banner !
