DOes HP have or plan to release a HPGL/2 driver that would work within Autocad rather than using the windows system printer? I had used a autocad adi driver for the HP III with our HP IV and got much quicker response than the windows system driver. This slow response is particularly noticable when I print a complex site plan with topograghy lines.

Mark, >> I had used a autocad adi driver for the HP III with our HP IV and got much quicker response than the windows system driver. What's the problem with using the HPGL/2 driver in R12/Win and selecting the LaserJet III? As it's sending HPGL/2 language, you'll still get the full resolution of the printer. John

John- It won't let you use the full page size. Andy

Andy, >> It won't let you use the full page size. Ah…I didn't see the 4V in the header. John

Andy, what was your suggestion to get HPGL/2 plots on my 4V?

Mark- Look in Library 10 in about 10 days (maybe less) and there will be something there that will work for you. In the mean time, continue with teh system printer driver. —///Andy Fredrick
