In trying to setup a 4si on an NT 3.5 server, I am frustrated by the fact that
I cannot set a default paper tray selection. If I choose upper or lower paper
tray for a letter form and OK to close the properties section, when I reopen it
always falls back to Auto-Select.
Its' somwhat important that I find a way to carve in stone a paper tray
selection for my NT workstations, since they rely on the server for the 4si
printer driver. For my WFW its not a problem because the paper trays are
selected locally (and WFW seems to remember the paper tray selection rather
than always falling back to Auto_select.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Try downloading Service Pack 2 (8 disks!) for NT3.5 from Microsoft, (GO FTP,
and then FTP.MICROSOFT.COM) it solves the problem! I have the sam
configuration, and the new improved printer driver that comes with SP2 fixed
this.
