#HP5P flicker like HP4P?

Just a quick question…does the new HP5P cause the same annoying light flicker that the HP4P causes? I've tried isolating the circuit every way I can, and still can't get rid of it. With all the technology HP has available, why can't they come up with a more acceptable method of drawing power? Or at least give us the option of having some kind of energy saving control, instead of just saying "your lights are going to flicker; live with it". In the meantime, it looks like it's back to the HPII here. John

Nobody's reported a flicker with the 5P yet, but who knows until somebody does? At any rate, it's a result of the "green" electronics mandates the feds imposed and one that didn't work quite as well as it should have. You can reduce/eliminate the flicker in my experience in two ways: having it on a dedicated circuit on an exclusive breaker, or using a high capacity surge and/or UPS to guard against this getting past the device and into the house/office wiring. The heavy duty industrial Tripp filters seemed to work, but are very costly.
